COMMON COURSES COORDINATORSHIP ATA-101/102 Atatürk Principles and History of Revolution I/II, TBT-191/192 Basic Use of Information Technologies, TDİ-101/ The exemption exam for 102 Turkish Language I/II, YDİ-101/102 English I/II and YDA-101/102 German I/II courses will be held face to face on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, and each student will take the exam in the exam halls determined by their own department. The exemption exam for these courses will be held in two separate sessions, in the morning and in the afternoon. The first session includes the first semester courses (ATA-101 Atatürk`s Principles and History of Revolution I, TDİ-101 Turkish Language I, YDİ-101 English I and YDA-101 German I). The second session to be held in the afternoon is II. It includes semester courses (ATA-102 Atatürk`s Principles and History of Revolution II, TBT-191/192 Basic Use of Information Technologies, TDİ-102 Turkish Language II, YDİ-102 English II and YDA-102 German II). Students who wish to be exempt from I and II of these courses must take the exam in both sessions. Students who score 60 or more out of 100 in these exams are exempt from the courses (they are deemed to have taken the course and passed). It is included in the grade point average.
Applications for the exemption exam must be made through the Exam Request Procedures - Exemption Application tab on https://ekampus.karatekin.edu.tr until August 28, 2024. (It is necessary to apply separately for each exam.)First year students taking the course for the first time (including new registrations, those who have passed the preparation phase, and those who suspended their registration in the previous semester) can take the exemption exam.Students who want to take the exemption exam must be in the exam hall designated for the exam in the unit in which they are registered, on the exam day and time. Any student who arrives at the exam hall 15 minutes after the exam starts will not be allowed into the exam. A student who leaves the exam hall for any reason will not be allowed into the exam hall. The exam consists of 25 questions for each lesson and the duration of each exam is 25 minutes.The exam will be held between the hours specified below. Students who receive a score below 60 as a result of the exemption exam will take the relevant courses. Students who will be studying in the Foreign Language Preparatory Class in the relevant academic year and students who have registered for the course in previous years and failed due to grades or absenteeism, or who want to take it in order to increase their grades, cannot take the exemption exam. Students can take the exemption exam for whichever of the foreign language courses (YDİ-101/102 English I/II or YDA-101/102 German I/II) they chose during course registration. Even if he/she takes the exemption exam of another foreign language course, he/she will not be evaluated. Department/program students who have compulsory status in the department/program curriculum of the relevant course can take the exemption exam for the TBT-191/192 Basic Information Technologies Usage course. Students of departments/programs that have elective status in the curriculum will not be evaluated even if they have taken the exam for this course. There will be an identity check before the exam starts, and when you come to the exam, your IDs (such as identity card, student ID card, passport) and university registration document (students who registered to the university electronically can obtain this document via e-government, students who register face to face can get this document from the student affairs department. You must have this document with you and show your ID and registration document to the exam hall attendant. All students will take the exemption exam at the faculty/college/vocational school of the department/program in which they are registered. It is forbidden to use ballpoint pens in the exam. Coding into optical form should be done with a pencil. The student is responsible for any missing or incorrect coding in the optical form and will not be evaluated.
After the exemption exam, the student can continue to take the common compulsory course from which he is exempt by applying to his unit with a petition (petition to continue taking the exempt course).After the exemption exam, the student can choose another course instead of the common compulsory course from which he is exempt by applying to his unit with a petition (petition to choose another course instead of the exempt course).NOTE 1: It is not mandatory to take exemption exams. NOTE 2: Only the grades of students who are successful in the exams (those who get 60 (C3) and above) will be recorded in the system and the student will be exempt from the relevant course(s). No grades will be entered into the system for students who took the exam and did not receive sufficient scores.
